Lorraine Hamilton is a Scot based in Kapiti near Wellington, mother of teenage daughters, author of 3 books including her latest entitled, “Dye Your Hair Purple Sooner”, former radio-frequency engineer and lover of tea, cake and Firefly.
She is also a Certified Professional Coach with 15 years’ experience, and an energetic and fun facilitator.
Lorraine specialises in working with high achievers to overcome their self-doubt and self-sabotage to truly become the leaders of their bold, authentic, genuine lives so that they can inspire and empower others to do the same. She holds the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential from the International Coaching Federation which requires ongoing commitment to training, development and supervision.
Before she stepped into the world of Personal Development she designed the first pure 3G cellular network in the UK, however her experience with a technical leader highlighted the damage that can be caused when managers are not adequately supported into people leadership roles. This is what brought her to coaching.
In 2009 she moved halfway across the world to New Zealand and found herself in another engineering role, designing 2G/3G/4G networks for 2degrees. By applying her coaching techniques, she quickly moved into a leadership position and created such an empowering and high performance environment, that her engineering team were leading culture for the whole organisation. She has a true passion for improving communication in the technical and engineering space.
Lorraine is the creator of the D.A.N.C.E. framework for transformation, and the S.W.I.T.C.H. Coaching Method for coaching conversations. Engaging in one of Lorraine’s sessions is guaranteed to result in a-ha moments and simple, but powerful shifts in perspective.
Known as the “Coach’s Coach” she now runs a successful business offering training and coaching from her home to clients across the globe.
