Having used LinkedIn as a key strategy in the global organisation and noticing it’s growing popularity and functionality for local service providers, Nicki began to coach local business owners how to use LinkedIn to network and build business relationships online.

Working with individual Business Owners, Consultants, Professionals and Industry Experts, Nicki has been able to help them clearly market their services, build business collaborations and attract new high value clients.

Background:

With a background in Global Operations and then Global Marketing and Communications, Nicki has been involved in leadership development since 2014. She develops, promotes and delivers leadership resources across multiple platforms in multiple languages. Based in the US and feeling the need return closer to aging parents, Nicki and her family transitioned back to NZ mid 2019. With intermittent periods overseas she has been able to primarily work remotely from her North Auckland home.

When the pandemic hit Nicki continued her remote role while establishing her own local marketing business, Osbaldiston Lane. With the NZ travel restrictions extending she was able to renegotiate her global contract to allow more time to focus on helping local businesses become digitally mature and visible online.

Nicki primarily works with service based businesses using LinkedIn as a tool to connect, grow in visibility and share industry expertise. She loves working with individuals and collaborations who are looking to raise their profile and make an impact in their industry.

Nicki’s Clifton strengths are developer, connector, relator and belief, with her top strength being responsibility, which she knows is also her biggest weakness as she feels she needs to help solve all the problems of the world.

When she’s not behind a laptop you will often find Nicki crouching behind a camera. She took up the opportunity to learn Portrait and Brand photography while living in the US, much to the excitement of her corporate peers. She has regularly volunteered photoshoots a local women’s refuge and occasionally does professional brand shoots in her local area.

Nicki has two young adult sons and the best daughter-in-law in the world. She lives with her incredibly supportive husband and rescue dog in a seaside community near Warkworth. She started her working life on Lambton Quay many years ago, back then she spent half of her week’s wages on InterIslander weekend return trips to South Island because she missed her family and hometown so much.
