SMALL BUSINESS IN A WORLD OF COVID: The ‘Next’ New Normal

COVID-19 and New Zealand’s response is continually evolving. What was true last month, or even last week, may no longer be valid and continues to be a work in progress. Holly Cotter from Business Central has led the organisation’s Covid-19 response to support businesses, ensuring rapid response member communications and ongoing advocacy with Government, on the impacts and practical realities for business. She will focus on what’s ahead for business, with the very latest information on business obligations, the new traffic light protection framework, and vaccine pass system – what businesses need to know in an ever-changing environment.

If you have any specific questions or concerns, please pop them up in the Facebook event for this meeting and Holly will talk to it on the day.

SPEAKER – HOLLY COTTER

Holly Cotter is the Corporate Affairs Manager for Business Central, the region’s largest business association with over 3,500 members, which includes support for the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Porirua Chamber of Commerce, and ExportNZ Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, and Central.

Holly heads up the advocacy team, working with local and central government to voice and address the needs of the wider business community. Since March 2020 Holly has led the organisation’s Covid19 response to support businesses, ensuring rapid response member communications and ongoing advocacy with Government, on the impacts and practical realities for business.

Before joining Business Central, Holly worked in government as Ministerial Advisor to Hon Paula Bennett and as an Advisor for the Government’s Research and Communications Unit in the National Leader’s Office under Rt Hon John Key. Holly Cotter studied at Victoria University in Wellington where she completed a Masters in Public Policy.
